A former Okotoks Dawg for the 2019 and 2022 seasons, Micah McDowell hit a Grand Slam against the University of California (UCLA) to give the Oregon State Beavers baseball team a 12-1 lead in the bottom of the 5th inning yesterday (May 12). The Beavers would finish the game with a commanding lead of 15-1 thanks to McDowell's Grand Slam.

McDowell has been a complete unit for the Beavers PAC-12 team this year, posting a batting average of .423 and smacking 6 home runs in just 29 games so far this season. On top of that, McDowell also has an impressive 29 RBI.

In McDowell's last season with the Dawgs, his talent was on full display playing in 34 games, earning a .381 batting average and running in 24 of his teammates for RBIs.

McDowell was also a student at Foothills Composite and was awarded with being an Honour Roll student in each of his years during his high school tenure. He's currently Majoring in Business Administration at Oregon State University.
