A couple of Okotoks high schools have advanced along the provincial high school football playoff trail after the weekend.

In Tier I, the Foothills Composite Falcons survived a low-scoring game by defeating All Saints of Calgary 9-0 to advance to the south final.

They'll take on LCI from Lethbridge for the south title next weekend.

The Holy Trinity Academy Knights put up plenty of points in their 51-12 win over the Medicine Hat Hawks in the Tier II south semi.

HTA will battle it out against the Cochrane Cobras, who blasted Bishop Carroll 44-0, for the south crown.

In Tier IV, Drumheller defeated the Willow Creek Cobras 27-22 to eliminate the Cobras from provincials.

In minor football on the weekend, the Foothills Eagles won the Tier III, 12-a-side, provincial championship with their 18-14 win over the Edmonton Chargers Saturday.

Unfortunately, things didn't go as well in the nine-a-side Tier II final as the Olds Bulldogs defeated the Claresholm Cobras 26-23.
