There was plenty of action on October 26 in the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League.

To start the night, the High River Flyers start their weekend with a loss against the Coaldale Copperheads 3-1 in the Bob Snodgrass Rec-Plex.

#20 Defenceman Mitchell Bosch scored the lone goal for the Flyers in the first period to tie up the game, with the Copperheads landing two more in the net in the third period.

The Flyers will have a tough matchup on October 27's annual "Pink the Rink" game, as they take on the undefeated Airdrie Techmation Thunder.

For the Pink the Rink game, players will be donning custom pink jerseys to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.

The puck will be dropped by Tate Barton, of Tate's Lemonade Stand fame and after the game, players jerseys will be auctioned off to fans, with proceeds going towards the High River Cancer Centre.

Meanwhile, the Okotoks Bisons fared better, as they hosted and defeated the Red Deer Vipers 3-0.

The Bisons will be heading out to Red Deer on October 27 to round out their back to back series against the Vipers at 8 p.m. in the Servus Arena.

Finally, the Lomond Lakers lost to the Three Hills Thrashers in their game, which means the Thrashers can chalk up their first win of the season.

The final score of the night was 8-5.

The Lakers are heading out to Cochrane in their following game to take on the Generals at 7:30 p.m.
