High River, get ready for fireworks on Canada Day.

They're coming back this Saturday at 10:45 p.m. and once again Emerson Lake is the place to park yourself to watch them.

Tracy Morgan, Recreation Administration and Programming supervisor, is excited the Town is getting into the spirit of Canada Day earlier in the day too.

"Over at George Lane Park we start at 10 a.m. and we have Eddie Whisky and Friends, they're going to be entertaining us. And then at 12 and at 1 o'clock we have our IRERI MLCCA Mexican dancers, and we then have our show and shine of course, hosted by River City Classics."

River City Classics is planning a mini car show for the day for the first time and you're in for a treat as the farmer's market will also be set up at George Lane Park.

"And then we also have our Farmer's Market which is hosted by Inclusion Foothills."

There will also be kid's activities throughout George Lane Park during the four-hour event along with a special appearance by Diggity, the Okotoks Dawgs mascot and even some Okotoks Dawgs players from 11:00 a.m. till noon.

And then the big finale is the Glow Dance Party starting at 9:00 p.m. at Emerson Lake with the fireworks set to light up the night sky at 10:45 p.m.
