According to the town of Okotoks, the fire erupted at around 4:30 p.m.
At least two houses are on fire and seem to have sustained significant damage.
Fire personnel are attempting to thwart the spread of the fire to surrounding homes amid strong winds.
Crews from multiple other fire departments, including High River and Foothills County, have responded.
Roads in the area are closed, except for residential traffic.
