People in the area can gather around a campfire this May long weekend without fretting about conditions calling for a fire ban.

Okotoks, High River, and Foothills County have no current fire bans or restrictions headed into the weekend.

Vulcan County has a fire advisory but still allows campfires in campgrounds, the backcountry, and random camping areas. The current level is at a warning and could change if the situation in Vulcan County doesn't improve.
