Vulcan County has enacted a fire advisory.

They're issuing permits and are advising that those permits could be cancelled at any time depending on how conditions change.

The county is also advising that campfires are allowed at campgrounds, but they're reminding campers that campfires could become restricted.

They're not the only region to have issued an advisory recently, with others including Rocky View County, the Calgary Forest Area, and the City of Lethbridge.

A few municipalities have longstanding fire advisories including Foothills County, which has been in place since December, and the Town of Taber, whose fire advisory started in February of 2023.

The current status of Alberta's fire advisories can be seen on the Alberta Fire Bans website.
