You can help the Fetal Alcohol Society by riding the trail through the hills of Longview on the Nelson Ranch.

September 8th is the Saddle Strings and Heart String's annual fundraiser trail ride.

Project coordinator, Shelley Repka Willard says, "It's for the Foothills Fetal Alcohol Society, and the money thats raised stays in southern Alberta, and helps our agency support the varies families that we serve, it also provides us to do some educational presentations to the local schools."

"It's a fantastic day for a walk, wagon ride, or horse back adventure, and it's in the ranch country at the base of Mount Head, which is 25 km west of Longview, Alberta on the Nelson Ranch, " says Willard.

It runs from nine a.m. to nine p.m.

Willard says they are having a banquet following with music, auction items, and dancers.

Trail ride cost is $150 dollars for adults and $75 dollars for children (12 years and younger).

Walk or wagon ride cost is $75 dollars per person from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the staging area across from the Highwood River Inn.

BBQ dinner and evening cost is $50 dollars for adults and $10 dollars for children (12 years and younger).
