Environment and Climate Change Canada issued an extreme cold warning for the next several days.

The extreme cold warning pretty much blankets the entire province.

In the Foothills area we can see temps around -30°C for highs over the next several days with lows hitting close to -40°C.

However, Saturday could be the coldest with windchills expected to hit -50°C.
