The Town of Diamond Valley has some big shoes to fill.

They need a new Chief Administrative Officer.

The interim CAO Corrine Middleton's contract ends this Friday, October 20.

Mayor Barry Crane thanked her for her outstanding service during the first year of the amalgamation of the towns of Black Diamond and Turner Valley.

“Corinne will be hard to replace and dearly missed,” said Mayor Barry Crane. “She is a total professional and managed our staff through the first year of amalgamation. We want to wish her all the best in her new posting, where she will no doubt become a valued addition to the team.”

Middleton was the former Manager of Corporate Services and Finance for the Town of Turner Valley before taking up the CAO position for the Town of Diamond Valley.

“The job of CAO isn’t an easy one at any time, throw in an amalgamation and it’s way harder,” adds Crane. “Corinne took every ask from council and made it happen. We can’t thank her enough for the work she’s done over the past few months.”

“We are looking for someone who can take us through the next several years or more. We need someone very special to take the Town of Diamond Valley through the growth that’s coming,” states Crane.

The town is still on the job hunt for a permanent CAO.
