At approximately 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday (April 17), the Okotoks Fire Department received a call about a structure fire in the Cimarron neighbourhood.

"We had two crews responding, one from the North, one from the South Station," explains Deputy Fire Chief Colin Sager. "When they got on scene, the first initial crew noted there was a shed in a backyard that was fully involved."

They were able to get the shed fire under control pretty quickly, then moved to working on hot spots in the area.

"The other crew came in and set up hydrants and everything just for the exposers that were in the area, which was two to three houses, I believe, had some form of siding damage done to them from the radiant heat in the area," Sager says.

There were no injuries on scene.

The fire is still under investigation, as they are trying to determine the cause.
