A death in Foothills County last week has been deemed non-criminal.

On Friday (Oct. 6) at around 8 a.m., police were called to an area along the Bow River on the north side of Foothills County.

They had received reports of a woman in medical distress near Policeman's Flats, at 32nd St. East.

Upon arrival, they found the woman deceased.

Later that day, the Calgary Police Service sent out a media release about the death, saying their Homicide Unit was investigating the circumstances of the death.

An autopsy was completed today, and Calgary Police have confirmed the death has been deemed non-criminal.
