The Dawgs would roll into Sylvan Lake and steal a win in a tightly contested game to close the season series with a 2-1 victory on Wednesday night.

The Dawgs win the season series 7-3.

The Dawgs move to 35-12 on the season and are 2 games up on the Sylvan Lake Gulls, sitting in first place with 9 games left in the regular season.

Connor Crowson (University of Montevallo, AL) extended his hitting streak to 5 games tonight after going 1 for 4. Trent Lenihan (UBC) would score 1 RBI tonight for the Dawgs going 2 for 4 and extended his hitting streak to 6 games. Ricky Sanchez (Barton College, KS) has successfully recorded a hit in 8 of his last 10 games after going 1 for 5 tonight.

Brock Townsend (Bellevue University, NE) would go 4 innings tonight facing 15 batters striking out 5, giving up 8 and allowing zero earned runs in the win. The Dawgs would only utilize two relievers tonight. Logan Rumburg (George Mason University, VA) went 4 innings striking out 4 Gulls, allowing only 1 run on 4 hits. Seth Thompson (Chandler-Gilbert CC, AZ) would close it out in the ninth with one strikeout.

The Dawgs return to Seaman Stadium Thursday July 27th to take on the Fort McMurray Giants for game one of a 3-game series with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05pm.

Game 2 of the 3-game series will take place Friday July 28th.
