Foothills County is once again under a Fire Restriction.

The restriction was put into effect on Tuesday afternoon, following a heat warning that spanned several days.

All fire permits within the county are suspended, and outdoor fires requiring a permit must be put out.

The lighting of outdoor fires is prohibited, including fireworks, torches, and lanterns.

It doesn't apply to residential fire pits, gas or propane stoves, or charcoal briquettes.

The restriction doesn't apply to Okotoks or High River, and neither town has any fire restrictions in place at the moment.

The full release from the county can be seen here.
