The Okotoks Dawgs will begin their 2019 WCBL title defense on the road.

The WCBL announced the 2020 schedule yesterday, and the Dawgs kick off the year with a four-game road trip starting May 29 in Edmonton.

They'll return to Seamen Stadium for their home opener on June 3 against the Lethbridge Bulls.

The Father's Day game will be a part of a two-game series against the Regina Red Sox, whom the Dawgs most recently defeated in last year's WCBL final.

On Canada Day the Dawgs will host the Swift Current 57's, and the game will be followed by the annual fireworks display.

The league's All-Star weekend is scheduled for July 18-20 in Edmonton, and the playoffs are slated to begin on August 8.
