A former player for the High River Flyers of the Heritage Junior B Hockey League remains in the sport he loves.

Davis Sheldon admits things are going pretty well for him.

"You grow up in the sport of hockey and you kind of get in the groove of wanting to make a life out of it and so far, I've been able to do that, and I couldn't be more thankful," he says.

Sheldon's an assistant coach with the Flyers and works for Calgary Sports and Entertainment, owner of the Calgary Flames, in ticketing.

The Nanton product has used hockey to really get around.

Sheldon played for the Flyers, Okotoks Oilers U15 AAA's, the UFA Bisons in Airdrie and the Calgary Buffalos before heading south to Minot State North Dakota where he wore the captain's "C" for one season.

During his two seasons with the Flyers, he registered 97 points, including 44 goals.
