Bisons keep winning as Flyers put another one in the win column

The Carstar Okotoks Bisons winning streak continued over the weekend with a pair of wins.

They edged out the Mountainview Colts 4-1 at home on Friday and then they corralled the Ponoka Stampeders 16-2 on Saturday.

The Herd leads the HJHL with 20 wins and only 2 losses for 40 points.

The High River Brewing Co. Flyers also picked up a win over the weekend. While they lost to the visiting Cochrane Generals 4-0 on Friday, they were able to turn it around on Saturday night in Red Deer. They stung the Vipers 9-1 for the big lopsided win.

The Flyers sit in last place in the HJHL South Division, but the division is really challenging this season. The Flyers record is at 9-11-3 for 21 points, however, they would be tied for third place with the Mountainview Colts if they were in the north division.

Both the Flyers and Bisons now have two games left before the Christmas break.
