Strathmore residents are busy thinking about who to vote for in the upcoming federal election.

One of the candidates trying to win them over is Conservative incumbent, Kevin Sorenson.

Sorenson says he feels people are more engaged this election.

Sorenson says some of the main issues he wants to continue to push in parliament are that taxes are kept in check, our economy is kept strong and that people have an opportunity to compete locally and around the world.

But he says one of the hot topics of discussion as he's door knocking is that there's even an election at all.

Also running in the Crowfoot riding is Independent John Turner and Ellen Parker of the NDP.
