Highwood M-L-A George Groenevold joined Gladys Ridge residents in a debate over the community's hall this week.
Groenevold told the meeting that the province could support the hall through a matchable donations grant of up to 150 thousand dollars.
Past President Roy Newman says it's a hard decision because hall maintenance is high and use is low.
Residents decided to put off a possible closure for a year and Peter Butler will now head the board as president.
