It could have ended in tragedy but things turned out well.

A Strathmore man was driving to Langdon on Wednesday when he called his family for help because he was suffering from a medical condition before he could communicate his location.

He then became disoriented and the call was dropped.

As a result, efforts from Strathmore and Chestermere RCMP, EMS Services, Langdon Fire Department and the Calgary Police Services HAWCS Helicopter found the man two and a half hours later and saved his life.

Strathmore RCMP say without the efforts of other emergency crews the outcome would have been much different.
