Two Calgary men have been arrested after a car chase in the Foothills on Monday.

William Gossen, 22 of Calgary, and Theoren Redcrow, 23 of Calgary, have been charged with a numerous criminal code and traffic act offenses as a result of the thefts.

At 10 p.m. on May 20 RCMP responded to a complaint of a stolen vehicle in a rural area near Meridian Street.

Minutes later they received a second complaint of a stolen vehicle in the area.

RCMP from High River, Okotoks, Turner Valley, and Nanton responded, and were able to locate one of the vehicles.

A short pursuit ensued, and the vehicle crashed. The occupant fled and was picked up by the second stolen vehicle.

After another pursuit the second vehicle crashed and both occupants were taken into custody with the assistance of RCMP police dogs and HAWCS helicopter. 

Gossen had been wanted on a Canada-wide warrant after an armed robbery in Crossfield. 

Gossen and Redcrow remain in custody, and will appear in Okotoks court May 24.
