The Canadian Finals Rodeo is moving back to Edmonton.

The City of Edmonton and Explore Edmonton made the announcement on Wednesday.

Edmonton was the home of the CFR for 44 years starting in 1974 but moved to Red Deer for the last five years.

For the first time, it'll be held in Rogers Centre and it will be 50th anniversary next year.

However, the deal is only good for the next three years until 2026.

The 2023 CFR is coming up from November 1-5 in Red Deer with a lot of local athletes qualifying.
