Canada West loses to U.S. but could still make medal rounds in World Jr A Challenge

Canada West lost 5-1 to U.S.A. on Thursday in the World Jr. A Challenge in Truro, Nova Scotia.

Three Okotoks Oilers play for Canada West, but they weren't able to power through the U.S. team.

The team ends the four-game round robin play with a 1-3 record, but they still could make the medal matches.

Slovakia have yet to win a game with their final game this afternoon as they take on the 1-2 Sweden team.

The U.S. team is also facing off against Canada East tonight with both teams sporting a 3-0 record.

The semi-finals are set for Saturday with the medal games on Sunday.
