Strathmore RCMP wrapped up November by responding to a B and E and an attempted robbery.

On Nov. 22, police say they responded to a complaint of an attempted robbery at the Strathmore Convenience Store.

Early that evening a disguised male entered the store who brandished a knife and demanded money.

The suspect became spooked and fled the scene without any money.

The circulation of video footage led to two males being identified for this incident as well as a theft from Walmart a short time prior.

Due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act the suspects cannot be named, but RCMP say that they each have been charged with one count of attempted robbery and one count each of theft of property not exceeding $5,000.

The pair are scheduled to appear in Strathmore Provincial Court later this month.

About a week later on Nov. 30, Strathmore RCMP responded to an early evening call of a break and enter to a home.

Through investigation a male was arrested who had entered a home while the occupants were away.

Police arrested the suspect moments later on foot after they tried to flee the scene and were found to be in possession of a key to the property.

RCMP say that Bryce Gibson, 51, of Strathmore was charged with break and enter to a dwelling with intent to commit and indictable offence therein, and a second count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Gibson will appear in Strathmore Provincial Court on Dec. 6.
