Building activity increased in High River in 2023

Building activity in High River saw a rebound last year.

According to the Town of High River planning department, total building permit values came in at $36.1 million dollars in 2023.

That's up from $28.1 million in 2022, but still down from $44 million in 2021.

Residential building permits totaled $28.4 million in 2023, an increase of over ten million dollars over 2022.

But it's still down from the $36.1 million in 2021.

There were 41 single family homes built last year and 27 multi-family units.

In 2022 there were 34 single family dwellings built and ten multi-family units while in 2021 there were 55 single family homes and 51 multi-family units.
