The 9th annual Sheep River Health Trust's Avenue of Trees is set to go with some changes.

Executive Director with Sheep River Health Trust Andrea Mitchell says they have relocated the event due to COVID however are still excited to host Avenue of Trees and Pictures with Santa.

"Our ninth annual Avenue of Trees and Pictures with Santa is going ahead at a new location, we've partnered with Best Western Plus here in Okotoks to transform their lobby and ballroom into a Christmas wonderland and we are really excited that the pictures and trees will be happening this year."

Mitchell says when they started looking for a place they thought about Best Western Plus first.

"We've had a long partnership with Best Western Plus, they have been in Avenue of Trees for at least five years. They have had some amazing trees, and last year they were one of the first trees that was ever bought. So we are usually at the Okotoks Rec Center so we started thinking about other opportunities in the community, we started thinking about those who have been involved with Avenue of Trees and Best Western was first on our list."

Avenue of Trees' booking hasn't opened up just yet however Mitchell says if anyone is interested in more information they should call them.
