The Town of Okotoks is celebrating Alberta Culture Days this weekend.

From Friday to Sunday the Town is hosting free events, such as the Best of Buskers Fest, exhibits at the Okotoks Museum and Art Gallery, and Harvest Fest.

A Picnic at the Piano is also scheduled to help celebrate the end of the season for the outdoor piano in Olde Towne Plaza.

Allan Boss, Okotoks' culture and heritage manager, says there could be the potential for more pianos in the future.

"We'll see how things keep going if there's more interest in it and we'll maybe look and see if there's opportunities for us to place pianos in different locations because certainly the one downtown has been well accepted," he says. "There's lots of videos going on about it... I've seen them online, I see people playing it so it's a lot of fun."

Boss says the picnic will be a great way to wrap up Alberta Culture Days in Okotoks.

"We're going to have a variety of music from old, to new, to popular and it should be a lot of fun," he says. "It'll be a great time to bring your family, have a sandwich, enjoy some music, and then at the end of the concert that piano gets packed away for the winter."

Picnic at the Piano gets underway at Olde Towne Plaza on Sunday at 1 p.m.
