We'll find out Tuesday afternoon what kind of hit we can all expect to take now and in the future, and what our money will get us as Alberta's NDP government rolls out its first ever budget.

It's expected to come with a deficit of around $6.5 billion, a record for Alberta.

Finance minister Joe Ceci says that is because of low oil prices, a growing population and an infrastructure deficit.

Much of that debt will go towards paying for new roads, schools and hospital construction.

The Opposition Wildrose are warning that taking on too much debt could hurt Alberta's credit rating.
