An absolutely steller day to take in the Little Britches Parade and the rodeo along with many other activities in High River.

For the first time in at least two years no rain fell on the event and the streets were jam-packed with residents and visitors taking it all in.

Cassie Gordon and her son Curtiss were on hand bright and early to get a good spot along the parade route.

"I loved today's parade, the weather turned out to be a lot better than expected," said Gordon.

Her plans for the day included hitting up some of the food trucks, listening to some music and visiting with friends.

Lorrie Beach watched the parade with family and friends.

"I thought it was really great, loved the bands. they were good," said Beach. "I am going for beef on a bun then I am going to tour around downtown."

Carol Fitzgerald liked the change of direction, as the parade ran in reverse this year compared to others.

"It couldn't have been any better, the bands were just perfect and the floats were just incredible, said Fitzgerald.
