The Spray Park in Okotoks has opened with a splash!

After being closed for almost a year to host additional attractions and renovations, the spray park is now ready for business this summer.

Krista Fields with the Spray Park says they've doubled their space and included some great new features.

"People will notice when they come in, that the concrete pad is almost double in size." Fields shares "We have a few new features including a musical water piano and a new toddler play area, which is directed at younger kids.  We've also added an extra bucket dump which makes it a lot more fun."

If you need a cool down you can come check out the Spray Park which Fields says should be open every day, weather dependent.

"We're looking at being open daily right now, dependent on weather it's basically from 9 in the morning until 9 pm at night, as long as we still have daylight. Those hours will decrease as we get through the summer and it gets darker faster. Basically as long as it's over 18 degrees we're running."

Mayor Bill Robertson along Councillors Thorn, Rockley, and Watrin got a piece of the action on Sunday, by being the first victims of the brand new bucket.
