Okotoks residents can now expect regular waste collection on most stat holidays.

Waste collection will go ahead as usual on stats that fall Tuesday through Friday.

The only two days of the year where waste collection will change are Christmas Day and New Years Day.

This is in effect immediately which means residents who typically have waste collection on Friday can pull their bins to the curb for Good Friday.

If carts are not set out on the stat holiday, they will be emptied on the next scheduled pick up day for that area.

Households who do not place carts out on the stat holiday will need to wait until their next scheduled collection for pick up.

Residents are being reminded they can help waste truck drivers by moving their carts out from between parked cars and having carts set at the curb by 7 a.m.
