Starting Friday, August 4, the Town of Turner Valley will move to level three water restrictions.

This means there's an outdoor watering ban, meaning all outdoor water use and non-essential water use is prohibited, and the Town will back that up with fines from $250 to $1,500.

The Town is also asking residents to flush only solids, don't run partial loads in washing machines or dishwashers and don't fill your recreation pool or hot-tubs.

The restrictions will be in place until water levels rise in the Town's reservoir.

Both High River and Okotoks remain at level two restrictions.
