A call to Strathmore RCMP about an erratic driver resulted in a cocaine seizure.

On June 9, police say they responded to a complaint of an erratic driver on Highway 1.

They tracked down the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop which resulted in the driver being arrested without incident.

Following the arrest, RCMP seized about 250 grams of cocaine that was found inside the vehicle.

According to police, Yonas Negussie, 25, of Brooks is facing charges of impaired driving by drug, breach of conditions, and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
