Okotoks residents are invited by the town to take part in an online survey to provide input on specific areas of social wellness.

Questions for specific areas of social wellness will be presented, and the results will be used to create a status report on social wellness framework recommendations, which will assist in further development of community programs and services.

Community Wellness Manager for the town, Debbie Posey, says resident input will identify strengths, gaps and areas of concern.

"We are looking for feedback. We did consult with residents in 2015 to provide an update on how we were doing, and look for other areas that we could move forward on," she said.

Posey says resident feedback is essential for future planning.

"The resident survey makes a huge difference in us knowing how successful we have been, and what else can we do, and gives us more information going forward," she said.

The town developed a social wellness framework to gain understanding of community values.

This will be the second survey completed since the framework was developed in 2010, and resident input will help with updates to guide and improve the town's social wellness.

The survey is available online until May 12, and can be found here: https://www.okotoks.ca/municipal-government/public-participation/social-wellness-framework
