Ethel Tucker park was host to the annual Children's Festival on Saturday.

The festival is put on by the Town of Okotoks and the Okotoks Arts Council.

Linda Macallum President of the Okotoks Arts Council says that the Children's Festival and the Okotoks Parade have a connection.

"The Children's Festival always follows after the parade, once it is finished that the festival doors are open."

She says that the event includes different types of entertainment including things like musicians, balloon animals and clowns.

There are also bouncy castles and other fun activities for kids and families to take part in.

"We try to bring new and fresh things for the kids and families to do at the festival," Macallum says.

This year one of the new things that was added was food trucks being the food vendors at the event instead of the usual sale of hotdog's.

Oscar was one of the kids in attendance at Saturday's event and says that he was appreciative of the food trucks.

"What I like about it is the food."

The event is done for another year, but will be back on the same day as next years Okotoks Parade.
