One new business in Okotoks is looking to add a little extra shine in the community.

Chromeez will be setting up shop on north Railway Street and is one of the 10 new businesses starting up in the town's 1st quarter this year.

Owner Ricardo Vial says his chrome work is one of a kind in North America.

"We do hydro-dipping which is the patterns which could camouflage, flames, skulls or it could be wood grain even," he says. "So it will be a variety of things we can do for people that want to customize vehicles, coat vehicles or planes. We've had the Red Bull stunt plane come in and done custom work on that, West Coast Choppers we've had a variety of companies send us stuff."

He says the chrome shop has done a lot in it's old surroundings and hopes to bring even more clientele in his home.

"It's going to be a high energy place that has a lot of representation with the leagues which includes the NHL, NBA, NFL, MLB, Nascar, the motion picture industry and rally car circuit. It will be an exciting place that has a lot of really cool Canadian content and that's the coolest thing about our company."

Chromeez's warehouse is 8,000 sq/ft which will have plenty of room to work on numerous clientele projects at a time along with new business.

"It's better than Calgary in regards to location, getting here, having a home in the area and the commute. This particular warehouse and facility is way more expensive than in Calgary."

Before starting up on his own, Vial worked in Aerospace Defense industry as well as the Oil and Gas sector before deciding to start off in the chrome business.

Chromeez is set to open April 1.
