Okotoks 12th Annual Teddy Bear Picnic has wrapped up for another year.

The picnic on Wednesday helped to connect families with local support and service groups in the Foothills.

Sherri Mullen, Okotoks Healthy Family Resource Centre Coordinator, says the event at the Murray Arena was a success.

"We've had a lot of families come through for the Teddy Bear Picnic. Everyone had a great time and we're delighted with the services that provided activities and information for the families in our community."

Kids were happy to show off their stuffed animals and join in on the fun.

"This is my zebra Zoey and we came here to play games."

"This kitty's name is probably Purry or something because it sounds like it's purring. I'm hanging out with my friends and having fun."

"I got this stuffy from Easter... and Jubeson is a dog so I decided to bring him here to see the vet."

Aside from enjoying picnic lunches, children could get their faces painted, play games and run an obstacle course, and bring their stuffed animals to see the veterinarian.
