Cheers were heard at schools across the Foothills on Wednesday as students celebrated their last day of school.

Students at Percy Pegler School were eager to share what plans they have for their two months off.

A few students are looking forward to spending time outdoors.

"I'm excited to go camping with my family and we might even go horseback riding."

"Camping at a lot of places."

Others will be heading out of the province.

"I'm going to Victoria and when I'm not in Victoria I'll be doing singing lessons."

"I'm going to Quebec. My aunt is working there for part of the summer and I'm going with her."

For those who're aren't venturing far from home, they have plans of hitting up rides in Calgary.

"I believe we're going to Calaway Park."

"My mom and brothers like to go do fun things like going to Calaway Park and Shakers and stuff like that."

Students with Christ The Redeemer School Division return to classes on Aug. 30 and those with Foothills School Division have a general start date of Sept. 1.
