The Conservation Educators took a trip back to high school Friday morning for Environment Week.

The group split into two and set up stations at Holy Trinity Academy High School and Foothills Composite High School offering free coffee and pastries to students who brought their own mugs.

Braeden Elenko, conservation educator, says students also had to answer questions about Okotoks' environmentally friendly initiatives.

"One of the questions was what can you take specifically to the Eco Centre," he says. "Batteries was one of them, oil, along with paint and light bulbs can be brought to the Eco Centre along with other things."

Next up the Conservation Educators with be at Shred It the document shredding event on Saturday from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the Okotoks Operations Shop.

Shred It will be followed by the grand opening ceremony of the Operations Centre from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.
