The Town of Okotoks has released their Visitor & Activities Guide book for 2016.

After last year's phenomenon with the 'Number Of Things To Do' campaign the Town has kept the legend alive in a sense.

Economic Development Manager Shane Olson says a number of things to do in Okotoks makes its mark again.

"We tried to play that up and have some fun with that concept, we've created a beautifully designed artistic cover around the number of things to do," he says. "We've woven in themes and activities all focused on the different number of places to dine, shop as well as some of the accommodations in the community and we also have have a top ten list of things to do."

Last year there was an origami fortune teller feature in the book and this year Olson says they've changed up what kind of hands on activity families can do in it.

'This year we have included a crossword puzzle with a number of words that people can find related to things like farm tours, culture and performing arts, museums and some of the boutiques and so on. So we've created that fun puzzle for kids and families to try out."

Over 25,000 copies of the book were made and has been dispersed all over Western Canada and in these current economic times, Olson says they've made an effort to get Okotoks noticed south of the border.

"All of Canada is 30 percent off right now and Okotoks included. So when those Americans come up we are making sure that we do get our visitor guides down to various visitor centres in Montana and we're working quite closely now to distribute through B.C. and other parts of Alberta as well."

You can find the Visitor & Activities Guide at any town facility.
