A heads up for residents living near downtown Okotoks.

This evening crews will be out removing snow along Elizabeth Street, McRae Street, North Railway Street and Veterans Way.

According to the Town areas which will see snow removal have signs in place, residents in the selected areas should remove vehicles and other obstructions from the road way prior to the snow removal operation beginning.

Waste collection is not impacted by snow removal, bins can be placed in their usual location for pickup.

The Town asks residents to give crews room to work and to proceed with caution while driving around equipment.

Snow removal is also scheduled on Friday Jan. 5 along Crystal Shores Road.
