Rain and wind didn't keep Picnic at the Piano at bay, instead, organizers just moved on inside.

Allan Boss Culture and Heritage Manager for the Town says you can count on the RPAC if the weather starts to act up.

"If the weather doesn't cooperate, we have to make that call on the morning of the performance. Today it was raining like crazy and we said 'okay, we've got to move it inside.' All future events will move to the RPAC theatre in a weather event."

The acoustics of the RPAC theatre in the old United Church on Elma St. and Veterans Way, worked out perfectly for today's performance.

Audience Choice Artist, Sheldon Zanboer was the talent of the day, and Boss says they were happy to welcome him back.

"He's so versatile as a musician, he's able to play anything that we need him to play." Boss says, "The audience can call out a request and he can play pretty much anything. He's a great singer, performer, and an all around great guy."

Boss shares that the next performance on June 28th features some local talent.

"We've got Ellen Doty coming up, that's the next concert. Ellen is a local performer, she's an Okotokian originally and a jazz singer. She will be singing some jazz songs so hopefully, if we get some nice weather it will be held out at the Old Town Plaza again."
