While not officially "called off" the search for a pair of missing 21 year olds in the B.C. interior has been "reduced."

The pair, Sydney Robillard, a former Okotoks resident and her boyfriend Alex Simons, have been missing since Thursday, June 8, when it's suspected their small plane crashed while on a trip from Lethbridge to Kamloops, where the two lived.

The pair were last seen refuelling in Cranbrook.

70 Royal Canadian Air Force personnel and 137 volunteers have been searching ever since, but with no luck, despite the plane being equipped with an electronic locating device.

The military says the search could resume if strong evidence surfaces indicating a likelihood of finding survivors.
