It's time for residents to claim their spot for fall programming in Okotoks.

Registration is now open for residents of Okotoks and the MD of Foothills to sign up for programs from the Fall 2015 Community Guide.

Janette Messer, community programs team leader with the Town of Okotoks, says if people are interested in any programs they should act quickly.

"Preschool programs are always very popular and we certainly encourage you, if you're really serious about registering for a program, that you don't wait too long," she says. "We do have limited space because of our ratios and also because of the facility."

A couple of new programs being offered are High Five, where people can learn about the principles of healthy child development, and a board development program that will help non-profit groups or those looking to form one with their board development.

Also offered are floor curling, pickle ball, dance classes, GED and literacy programs along with preschool and children's sports programs, and adult fitness programs.

Messer says if people are concerned about not being able to sign up for programs due to needing child care, they can use the services offered at the Recreation Centre.

"If you are registering for a program or are participating at Natural High Fitness we do have Kindercare which is babysitting on site which provides parents working out at the Rec Centre to have their childcare all in one place...that also fills up quickly," she says.

There's three different ways to register for fall programming.
