Today, Apr. 9, marks the first opportunity for Albertans to cast their ballots for the provincial election.

Advanced voting is underway which means constituents can head to the polls anywhere in the province, where as on election day only the designated polling station can be used.

Foothills residents have a few options locally, including the Highwood Returning Office in Okotoks, the High River Full Gospel Church, the Turner Valley Legion, and the Longview Community Centre.

Saturday, Apr. 12, is the last day of advanced voting with polls open at each location 9 a.m.- 8 p.m. daily.
