RCMP in Chestermere are requesting the public's assistance in an ongoing homicide investigation that left one man dead on Monday morning.

Officers responded to a residence in the West Creek Mews neighbourhood to find 41-year-old, Dennis Lewis, suffering from an injury caused by a gunshot. Shortly after his arrival to the Foothills Medical Centre, Lewis succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

RCMP are looking for information related to a 2015 burgundy Ford Edge Sport, with Alberta plate BCG 2422. The vehicle was reported stolen by the registered owner on November 3rd from the Southeast area of Calgary, and police are seeking information on its whereabouts and occupants from November 3rd through 27th.

RCMP are looking for information from anyone who may have been in Chestermere from the hours of 9 through 11 am on November 26th, or who may have seen the car, or have dash cam footage of the area from that day.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with any information is asked to contact Chestermere RCMP or Crimestoppers.
