Alberta RCMP want to make sure that residents have an egg-cellent Easter weekend.

They are reminding motorists to buckle up, slow down, and make sure cell phones are out of our hands when behind the wheel.

Anyone who is out for the evening and drinking is asked to find an alternative ride home like an Uber, taxi, or a designated driver.

Car prowlers aren't out looking for Easter eggs, so vehicles should be locked with all valuables removed.

According to RCMP, during the Easter long weekend last year, two people lost their lives and 19 people suffered injuries in motor vehicle collisions in the province.
