High River RCMP are asking for our help in finding the suspects in an attempted truck theft near Cayley Friday, April 13.

They say sometime between 2 and 4 p.m., someone jumped the fence on a rural property at the corner of Highway 2 and Highway 540 and broke into a truck parked in the field with a "For Sale" sign on it.

They broke in on the passenger side, and managed to start the truck, but got stuck in the snow after a short distance.

Police think the suspect, or suspects got back into their car parked on the highway and took off northbound.

They don't know what kind of vehcile they were driving or how many people were involved and are asking anyone who may have seen anything to give them a call at 403-652-2357 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
