Okotoks RCMP successfully arrested four individuals after responding to a call of a suspicious truck in De Winton last weekend.

Police were alerted when the truck was reported as stolen and responded shortly after 4 p.m. on Saturday.

RCMP, Police Dog Services, K Moss and HAWCS Helicopter were utilized in the incident. Upon arriving on the scene, police established a perimeter to prevent the truck from leaving by any route.

The truck attempted to escape the scene, and at that point,  deflation device was used to stop the vehicle.

Four individuals were in the truck, and attempted to enter Mcleod Trail South at the north end of Foothills County, but the vehicle drove into a center media and became stuck.

Four people were taken into custody without incident, and no injuries were reported in the arrest.

Mark William Duthie, 38 of Calgary, was arrested and had 16 charges laid, including:
-Possession of stolen property over $5,000 for the Ford pickup truck
-Two additional stolen property under $5,000 charges
-Failing to stop for a police officer
-11 other charges for breach of conditions

Evan Thomas Abbs, 29 of Calgary, and Angela Dalton, 31 of Calgary:
-Possession of stolen property over $5,000 for the Ford pickup truck
-Two additional stolen property over $5,000 charges
-Two charges for breach of conditions

Clarissa Leonard, 19 of Calgary:
-Possession of stolen property over $5,000 for the Ford pickup truck
-Two additional stolen property over $5,000 charges

The stolen property is said to have included license plates, cell phones, car batteries and tools.

RCMP are thanking the alert members of the public who called in the location of the pickup truck.
