For over 25 years the Sheep River Health Trust has been serving groups in the Foothills and for the third year it's teamed up with Eagle 100.9.

The Together We Make a Difference Radiothon is broadcasting live for 13 hours out of Okotoks Sobeys to raise funds to support local family and youth groups.

Andrea Mitchell, executive director of the Sheep River Health Trust, says they're proud of their work in the community.

"Our mandate really is to support health and wellness throughout the Foothills so that includes everything from traditional healthcare to healthcare regarding kids playing sports or Baby Boxes with It Takes a Village," she says. "We really want to see that our community comes forward and supports the Radiothon and supports health and wellness in the Foothills."

Last year the Radiothon raised close to $40,000.

Mitchell says people can still donate if they're not able to swing by Sobeys.

"You can phone in or you can visit our website at sheepriverhealthtrust.ca and find out more information about donating that way."

To donate by phone before the Radiothon ends at 7:00 p.m. Thursday night, call (587) 998-8356.
